The Design Project Manager II oversees electric distribution design activities supporting wildfire mitigation and related infrastructure programs. This role is responsible for assigning, reviewing, and approving design work performed by internal teams and external vendors, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with a top utility client. This position does not perform hands-on design or signing off of designs. Pay is $60-70/hr
Key Responsibilities
ββ’ Lead and oversee electric distribution design from a system assembly and process perspective
ββ’ Assign, track, review, and approve design work completed by vendors and design teams
ββ’ Perform quality control (QC) and ensure adherence to specific design standards and processes
ββ’ Provide design guidance, training, and technical advisement as needed
ββ’ Coordinate and manage multiple external design vendors supporting wildfire mitigation work
