Job Description for Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Commercial / Customs

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance: Handling GST returns, ITC reconciliation, RCM, and ensuring accurate GST application on import/export transactions.
• Customs Management: Ensure 100% compliance with Customs Act, Tariff schedules, and CBIC notifications . Coordinating with Custom House Agents (CHA) for clearance, determining correct HS classification, and managing duty drawbacks/bond management.
• Litigation Management: End-to-end management of custom disputes, including replying to Show Cause Notices (SCN), demand letters, and managing appeals before tribunals or courts.
• Strategic Advisory: Develop and execute legal strategies to minimize risks in customs classification, valuation, ITC availement and duty payments. Staying updated on Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) and customs tariffs to optimize logistics costs and compliance.
