Job Description

Job overview

  • The Deputy Clinical Director for Surgery will be accountable to the Clinical Director for the performance of the directorate. This is a key operational role within the Directorate and the post holder will work with the Clinical Director to lead and be accountable for ensuring services are patient focused and effective and for achieving national and local key performance indicators and standards. 

  • The post holder will provide visible leadership to all staff within the directorate and support the Clinical Director in delivering the strategic plan for the Division. 

  • The post holder will also work with the Divisional Director and the Divisional Management Team to ensure the services within the Clinical Directorate meet the required objectives.
