University Correctional Healthcare (UCHC) is seeking a Department Nurse Manager for the East Jersey State Prison, located in Rahway, NJ. The Department Nurse Manager performs supervisory responsibilities for nurses across shifts on an assigned unit(s) at a facility on a consistent basis. Collaborates with physicians, other health care personnel and interdepartmental personnel to ensure that the mission and objectives of the facility’s health program are realized. Maintains the standards of nursing practice/care and actualizes the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Nursing Service to staff, inmates and families.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Assists in interpreting and translating the theoretical concepts of nursing into the delivery of nursing services for adults (18 to 64 years) and geriatrics (65+) inmates within the Department of Corrections.
