Responsibilities

+ Check in patients promptly and notify providers as soon as patients arrive.

+ Monitor and update patient charts, ensuring all information is accurate and current.

+ Enter date of visit, department, and provider name on the daily log sheet for each patient.

+ Add appropriate sheets and documentation to the comprehensive medical record, including treatment plans, periodontal charts, informed consent forms, referral forms, and contracts for complex treatment in the dental section of the record.

+ Record patient appointment data on a daily basis to support accurate scheduling and reporting.

+ Maintain the dental laboratory in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.

+ Lay out and prepare instruments and materials prior to each patient visit to ensure efficient patient flow.
