Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

:
  • Responsible for keeping all the necessary pipe components staged and organized above the trench before installation

  • Responsible for the maintenance and organization of the crews tools and rigging hardware

  • Operate mechanized equipment such as quick cut saw, diesel plate packer, jumping jack compactor, impact drills and a variety of other hand tools

  • Strong understanding of hoisting and rigging requirements for pipe and shoring boxes

  • Ability to maintain inventory of pipe components required to complete the job

  • Responsible for cutting and beveling pipe before installation

  • Strong understanding of industry torque specifications for watermain installation

  • Signals equipment operators to ensure a safe and proper excavation around overhead utilities

    • Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
