Job Vacancy The Community Access Team supports adults with learning disabilities across a variety of community settings in Midlothian. The team delivers a programme of activities that reflect and build upon the individual aspirations, strengths, and goals of the participants. These activities include arts & crafts, cooking for healthy eating and running a café, participating in the local community, exercise, and a variety of sports-based activities. Day Service Officers play a lead role in organising and delivering community-based activities, supporting adults with a learning disability to participate fully and achieve positive outcomes. A key aspect of the role is promoting independence, choice, confidence, and social inclusion, enabling individuals to develop skills and engage meaningfully in their local community.
