THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a chance to play a key role in shaping Ryan Bridge TODAY, the NZ Herald’s new live streaming morning news programme. As Day Producer, you’ll sit at the heart of a fast-moving newsroom, helping to deliver smart, compelling and agenda-setting interviews to audiences across Aotearoa.

Working under the guidance of the Head of Streaming, you’ll collaborate closely with the host, set-up producer and wider newsroom to craft a sharp line-up of live and pre-recorded content. From breaking news to in-depth interviews to covering the events New Zealanders love to watch, you’ll help ensure the programme is authoritative, engaging and always ahead of the agenda.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

You’ll take ownership of the news agenda of the programme, pitching interview ideas, setting up guests and researching topics, writing intros and producing high quality segments with necessary b-roll, graphics and stats that add value to the interview.<...
