(What the role is) This role sits within the IT Operations Division - Infrastructure Services Management Team. (What you will be working on) Design, implement, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL (including pgvector) database systems to support critical banking operations
Develop and implement high availability technologies such as Oracle RAC, SQL Server Always On and PostgreSQL high availability solutions
Optimize database performance, security, and availability through proactive monitoring and tuning
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with other IT systems and applications
Monitor for database vulnerabilities and perform regular upgrades and patches
Automate common database maintenance tasks
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
