About the role

Oranga Tamariki has recently migrated from a legacy on‑premises Data Warehouse to a modern, cloud‑based platform built on Azure and Databricks, with Power BI as our primary analytics and reporting tool.

This is a highly skilled and specialist technical role requiring strong data and Data Warehouse experience with a wide span of influence. You will provide technical leadership for the design and management of large and complex Data Warehouse work initiatives.

The role focuses on the stability, enhancement, and continuous improvement of the platform. You will work across both BAU support and project‑based delivery:

• ~25% operational support – triaging and resolving ServiceNow requests, platform maintenance, and continuous improvement
• ~75% project delivery – delivering enhancements, onboarding new data sources, and enabling integrations across systems
