Job Summary: To provide safe care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with professional and hospital standards. Contacts: Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors. 1. Assists in the coordination of patient care: Assists registered nurse in planning patient care. Collaborates with other health team members. Participates in performance improvement activities. Acts in the role of support during the surgical procedure but not as a surgical assistant during the surgical procedure. 2. Implements patient care: Creates and maintains asepsis.
