Cardiovascular Surgery Registered Nurse

This position is for a day shift starting at 6:30 AM and ending at 5:00 PM. The team rotates call and utilizes a self-scheduling call schedule for the most part. The unit has 2 pediatric cardiovascular operating rooms. There are a total of 9 staff members on the team, including 4 CST and 5 RNs during the day shift. Night shift staffing is not applicable. The equipment utilized includes EMR Meditech. On-call requirement is a rotational schedule. There is no floating requirement; the team is dedicated to pediatric cardiovascular surgery. Typical procedures performed include open heart surgery on pediatric congenital heart patients, bedside sternal closures, and washout procedures in the ICU.
