Job Summary
:The CT Technologist, under the direction of the radiologist, DI Administration and/or Lead CT Technologist, performs professional duties which involve a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for CT scans. The CT Technologist assist physicians in selection of practical application and technical factors.
CT Technologist Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of CT exams related to the field, including invasive procedures and IV insertion.
- Explain the procedure to the patient.
- Set, adjust, manipulate, control and maintain a variety of complex electronic equipment to apply ionizing radiation to patients for diagnosis of disease.
- Administer prescribed contrast media according to established guidelines.
- Assist in interventional CT exams.
