Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
- Proficiently operates CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures. Must perform and be proficient with all of the following procedures if performed at assigned facility which include scrub CT guided invasive procedures, angiography, cardiac, cyber-knife, venography, cerebral, PET/CT, and 3D reformatting including cardiac, vascular and neurological.
- Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors, adjusts factors to attain the appropriate images, and provides radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assists in the proper scanning techniques. Provides measurements and additional slices for accurate interpretation with direction from the Radiologist. <...
