Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Implement the district’s comprehensive school counseling program plan to address the unique needs of each student through targeted guidance instruction, personalized advising, and responsive counseling services.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote positive self-image in students.

  • Provide orientation sessions for parents.

  • Provide college day/night, career day/night, and financial aid workshops.

  • Coordinate and/or delivers required legislative awareness activities such as suicide prevention, bullying prevention, digital citizenship, fentanyl poisoning, human trafficking, teen dating violence and other related student safety initiatives.

  • Share information concerning programs available at the campus and throughout the district (e.g., Credit by Examination, Alternative School, Career and Technology Programs) with students.
