GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, directs and coordinates pre-service insurance and patient financial clearance processes. This includes insurance verification and patient financial counseling functions associated with emergency, inpatient, outpatient, elective inpatient, and outpatient surgery services, performed by Henry Ford Health hospitals and facilities. Protects the integrity of the hospital accounts receivable and respects the privacy of patients. Assist Leadership with interviewing new hires and orientating and providing training to all employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ Three (3) years of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting required.

+ Revenue Cycle super-users and subject matter experts.
