Mental Health Services for Older Adults (MHSOA) provides community and inpatient services for people experiencing serious mental health issues. We provide assessment, treatment and support to:
* People with severe mental disorders aged 65 or older * People of any age with primary dementia and serious behavioural and/or psychological symptoms. * People with pre-existing severe mental health disorders who would be better cared for by MHSOA, either because of significant medical co-morbidities or frailtyKingsley Mortimer Unit (Ward 12) is a 19-bed inpatient unit on the North Shore Hospital site that provides inpatient assessment and treatment Older Adults with Mental Health problems within the Waitematā district.
