Consultant Psychiatrist – General Adult Community Psychiatry, Barrow-in-Furness (10PA)

The role will be based in Duddon House, Barrow in Furness, full-time (10 patient sessions per week). The consultant will work as part of the Furness Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), collaborating with nursing, social work, occupational therapy and psychology staff, and liaising with GP practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical care to patients in the Furness area (Millom, Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness).


• Maintaining a small caseload of outpatients and providing advice to primary care and multidisciplinary teams.


• Participating on the Consultant On Call rota, with additional remuneration.


• Supporting the wider ambitions of the Trust, such as clinical supervision, medical education, and digital leadership.
