Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual to fill a new Obstetric & Gynaecology post at Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital. The post includes a 1:10 obstetric on call commitment, which may be adjusted as the service expands. The Leeds maternity services offer regional obstetric care, specialist fetal medicine, maternal medicine and placental services. The gynaecology service is predominantly based at St James University Hospital (Chancellor Wing), with elective work also conducted at Wharfdale Hospital.

Qualifications and experience

• Must hold MRCOG (or equivalent) and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently in a UK training programme.
• All other doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
• Established skills in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with experience managing recurrent miscarriage.
