We are seeking an intensivist with an interest in care of the deteriorating patient outside of the intensive care. This role combines work as a specialist intensivist within a busy tertiary intensive care, and specialist engagement with the Patient at Risk team in our hospital.
The Department of Critical Care Medicine cares for approx. 2000 patients every year. Our case mix includes all adult tertiary specialties apart for cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery (provided by another ICU in Auckland City Hospital), burns and plastic surgery (provided by another ICU in the Auckland region).
