Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million.

The post is a full‑time, 9‑to‑5 shift pattern, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical care for patients with opiate and alcohol dependency.
• Participate in all aspects of patient care and multidisciplinary meetings, providing consultant leadership and expertise.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of a recovery‑oriented system of care, including research projects and teaching initiatives.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the GMC, MRCPsych, FRCPsych or equivalent.
• Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) essential.
