Job Description
Under the direction of the Construction Foreman of Public Works, the incumbent performs skilled tasks related to the maintenance of all Tribal-owned roadways, grounds, equipment, and facilities requiring general labor work and construction work. May be transferred into any division within the Public Works Department as needed or assigned. Completion of High School or GED and two years' experience in performing construction work. Must be able to safely operate equipment and tools such as mowers, chain saws, snow blowers, wood chippers, etc. as well as other small equipment such as, but not limited to, rollers, compactors, air compressors, Bobcat, Kubota, and Steiner. Must be able to safely operate pickup trucks to plow snow and haul materials to and from work sites and be able to haul a trailer using side-view mirrors. Must be experienced in utility trenchwork.
