Personal Assistant / Support Worker (P/T)

Hours: 6 hrs per week. Days / Hours: (Proposed shifts: 10am – 1pm or 1.30pm – 4.30pm). Days flexible – to be discussed at interview.

Rate of Pay: £14.56 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and companionship to a young man with Autism living with his family in the Kilwinning area.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Provide social support and companionship within the local community, ensuring his safety at all times. Must be physically fit and able to respond quickly as he can run off if distracted.
• Assist with his access to the local community, including going to the gym, swimming pool, and other recreational activities.
• Support personal care as needed, such as prompting to get dressed after swimming.
• Encourage and reassure him in a positive way; remain calm, friendly, cheery, and easy‑going.
