Communications Specialist - Transportation
This job is in your area. Enjoy a short commute and work close to home.
Job Description
Let’s be honest - roads are always a talking point. From potholes and roadside mowing, to major upgrades and traffic changes, transport projects are some of the most visible - and most talked-about - topics in the community. Which means there’s plenty to do - and plenty to get right - as a communications specialist. That’s where you come in. At Western Bay of Plenty District Council, we’re investing heavily in transport infrastructure. In the past year alone, we delivered a record $134 million capital programme, including significant roading upgrades across the District. With that level of investment comes strong community interest, high expectations, and a real need to communicate clearly, consistently, and proactively.
About the role
12-month fixed term. You will lead communications planning and delivery for transport and roading projects, working alongside project teams to ensure communications are timely, accurate and aligned.
