JOB DESCRIPTION FOR COMMUNICATIONS INTERN



• Support fully in research and brainstorm of new business pitch and existing clients, including but not limited to competitor analysis, market landscape analysis, communication opportunity discussion, tagline ideation, and message house building.

• Assist in writing and distributing pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, reports and other communications material.

• Create and maintain media / influencer lists.

• Handle routine media / influencer inquiries.

• Monitor media to report coverage that affects the client’s business.

• Develop relationships with the media / influencer to convey the client’s message.

• Proactively identify media / influencer opportunities.

• Develop an understanding of the client’s business and handle basic research of the business and the industry to maintain a current knowledge base.
