Our client, a prominent full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout Ontario, is seeking to expand their team by adding a Commercial Litigator with over 8 years of experience specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency matters.
Your new role
In this role, you will gain extensive experience in financial reorganizations, debt restructurings, general commercial litigation, and matters involving debtor and creditor rights. Responsibilities include handling security enforcement, forbearance and standstill arrangements, receiverships, and related matters on behalf of financial institutions, court-appointed and private receivers, interim receivers, and liquidators. You will act on behalf of monitors under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and represent various stakeholders, including trustees in bankruptcy, landlords, suppliers, corporate and individual borrowers, and other parties.
