Overview: Systems Engineer
This position provides specialized engineering support for spectrum monitoring, RF signal analysis, and electromagnetic environment characterization in the Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare Division (MXQ) at NSWC Crane. The role is critical to the development, testing, and evaluation of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, requiring the operation of advanced instrumentation to identify signal characteristics, mitigate interference, and validate system performance in complex over-the-air and laboratory environments.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead spectrum monitoring and electromagnetic environment characterization across laboratory, field, and over-the-air test environments.
+ Configure and operate high-precision test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, software-defined radios (SDRs), signal generators, receivers, and complex antenna arrays.
