Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Student Engagement Coordinator leads and supports the student experience for the SF State College Corps Fellowship, with primary responsibility for Fellow engagement, retention, and success. The role applies independent judgment to assess student needs, monitor engagement patterns, and implement strategies that support persistence and program completion. The coordinator executes recruitment and outreach activities in alignment with Program Lead direction, facilitates orientation and onboarding from a student experience perspective, and designs and delivers Team Circles, trainings, professional development, and closeout activities. The position provides ongoing support to Fellows, monitors participation and attendance, and identifies concerns that may affect learning or retention.
