Job Summary:

The Physician Clinic Coder is responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to medical services provided in a physician clinic setting. This role ensures compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to facilitate proper billing, reimbursement, and statistical reporting for healthcare facilities. Reports to Medical Records Director. Non-Exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:

Review Medical Records: Review outpatient medical records, including physician notes, test results, and treatment plans, to identify diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered during clinic visits.

Assign Diagnosis Codes: Assign International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes to accurately reflect the patient's diagnoses based on physician documentation.
