Job Description

We are recruiting for a permanent CNC Turner (Setter Operator) for a global precision engineering company based in Christchurch, Dorset. 


Salary is £19 to £22 per hour depending on experience. 

37 hours per week Monday to Friday

Main CNC Turner duties and responsibilities:


  • To correctly set the CNC machine and tooling and to operate CNC machines to process the part to the required specifications
  • To machine parts to agreed specifications and to customer requirements using detailed drawings, layouts and other technical information provided
  • To ensure machines are fit for purpose by performing routine maintenance according to approved methods
  • Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection using gauges and measuring instruments
  • To ensure the work area conforms to the company 5S standards by returning tooling to specified storage areas and to remove waste appropriately
