**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our **Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)** , you will help Mercy San Juan Medical Center's nursing staff by advancing the practice of nursing and fostering professional development within our 40-bed Level III NICU so staff can provide the highest quality evidence-based care to our most vulnerable patients.

Every day you will lead clinical activities and projects, apply advanced clinical expertise and promote evidence-based practices within the neonatal department. You will be expected to role model critical thinking, sound nursing judgment, effective communication and strong teamwork.

To be successful in this role you must possess advanced clinical expertise specific to neonatal care, a deep understanding of evidence-based practice, and proven abilities in collaboration, consultation, education, mentoring, and change leadership.
