Summary:
Join UNC Health's Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team and provide recovery-oriented, community-based nursing care for adults living with severe and persistent mental illness. The Clinical Nurse provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) consists of professionals from multiple disciplines (including psychiatry, nursing, social work, and rehabilitation counseling) who use a team approach to meet the needs of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in community-based settings.
