About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Midwife to join our team of Clinical Specialist Diabetes in Pregnancy Community Midwives. The team provides continuity of antenatal and postnatal care, at home, in clinics, and digitally by phone, video call and other remote methods across the whole of the Counties Manukau District of South Auckland. This role will be working alongside women who have pre‑existing Types 1 or 2 diabetes and those who have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes during pregnancy. The focus will be on providing a high standard of individualised diabetes care, with some scope for also providing direct antenatal and postnatal midwifery care for women with complex care needs as their primary care midwife alongside your diabetes specialist role.
