Job Description
Coordinates educational programs to ensure staff recruitment and retention. Prepares programs to foster learning and contribute to staff competency. Participates in all educational activities for the department staff. Liaises with Laboratory Medicine Universities and their faculty.

Job Responsibility

+ Collaborates with quality/performance improvement teams and clinical laboratory management to access educational needs; evaluates effectiveness of training.
+ Develops, recommends, and implements approved standardized training and competency testing material.
+ Coordinates training efforts with nursing education to ensure communication of policies and procedures affecting laboratory testing.
+ Presents educational lectures to hospital staff and phlebotomists.
+ Coordinates educational programs with local colleges and universities and represents facility to universities, colleges, and technical schools.
