UPMC Presbyterian Hospital is currently hiring a full-time Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our team!
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist works in either or both inpatient and outpatient settings. Reviews patient's charts and medical histories, performs initial assessments, develops treatment plans, administers exercise modalities, evaluates progress, and documents outcomes on patients in order to increase/improve overall functioning through exercise modalities and education. For most inpatients, to offset the detrimental effects of inactivity. Educate on disease states, recovery, smoking cessation and risk factor modifications. Maintains open communications with coworkers, physicians and other dept staff. Coordinates day to day workflow and direct subordinate staff to accomplish the days work.
