Job Description

The Clinical Coding Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining high-quality Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) coding standards. This role oversees daily coding operations, clinical coding audits, staff development, project management, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure clinical coding accurately reflects the institution's clinical efforts and enables optimum reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical coding operations to ensure accurate abstraction of diagnosis and procedures, and timely Casemix data submission to the Ministry of Health
• Conduct clinical coding audits and generate regular performance dashboards to monitor clinical coding quality and turnaround time
• Set key performance indicators for coding accuracies, timeliness, and team productivity, and drive the team to achieve these targets
