Child Care Center Assistant Cook
Bring your cooking talents and kitchen management skills as an Assistant Cook. You’ll plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.
This position offers a schedule of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at our Ochsner Early Learning Center. This role includes approximately 20 hours per week supporting kitchen operations and 20 hours per week teaching and engaging with children in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
