Local News Chief Meteorologist

16WAPT, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, MS has an opening for a Chief Meteorologist. We are looking for someone who knows the science of forecasting and can tell a relatable weather story. You will be an accurate forecaster, convey appropriate tone for the situation, summarize complicated information, and be able to use the latest technology. You will also manage a team of meteorologists and will demonstrate and communicate our coverage plan to producers, anchors, reporters, video journalists, and our digital team. The Chief Meteorologist is an important part of the news management team.
