• Inspect equipment cleanliness and operational readiness before production to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage kitchen staff, including staff selection and training.
• Estimate and calculate food and labour costs and set menu prices.
• Monitor food trends and assist in planning and updating the menu.
• Perform tasks such as kneading, fermenting, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough.
• Supervise and ensure the cleaning and sanitisation of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Work closely with managers, kitchen staff, and service staff on food preparation tasks, including dough making, marinating, and other related duties.
