The chaplain provides emotional support, spiritual counsel and comfort in addressing the spiritual needs of patients as assigned. This individual provides a spiritual perspective when consulting with Mayo Clinic staff, patients and families regarding ethical, moral or personal issues. The chaplain is skilled in crisis and is an active participant in the interdisciplinary patient care team.
