The Change Management (CM) Manager is directly involved in ensuring the success of change initiatives across the organization by establishing and communicating Change Management standards, practices, processes, tools and approaches. It is a strategic role that governs the practice of Change Management in the organization and helps other CM practitioners execute structured change management plans. The CM Manager also acts as an internal CM consultant to Project Managers and Change Sponsors / Change Initiators within the organization. This role may also, from time to time, be involved in tactical implementation of CM plans by supporting communication and training efforts to facilitate a smooth transition and to minimize disruption during the change period.
