Job Summary

Works independently and collaboratively with unit managers/team leaders to coordinate the orientation process annual competencies and provide on-the-unit education of new equipment, products, policies and procedures. In conjunction with clinic team leaders/coordinators develops and provides unit-based educational programs. Perform clinical functions of ophthalmology technician.
Job Duties


+ Establish consistency among all ophthalmology outpatient clinics in regards to daily operational issues that relate to policies and regulations, particularly the Department of Health and The Joint Commission.

+ Coordinates the orientation process through an active involvement with ophthalmic orienteers and preceptors throughout the service line.

+ Provides ongoing education based on individual unit needs, staff requests, and physician request.
