What is Te Kohanga Remand Home?
It is a restorative Youth Justice group home, working with rangatahi aged 14 to 17 who have offended and are on remand in their processes with the Youth Court. This home operates 24/7, 365 days a week to offer a variety of interesting, educational, and fun activity and therapeutic programmes for our young people while they stay with us. A few examples of the activities we offer might include cooking classes, gaming and sports tournaments, vocational and cultural demonstrations, and lessons with leaders from the local community and much more!
