Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions, managing cash and electronic payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The ideal candidate is honest, detail-oriented, and friendly.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales transactions quickly and accurately using POS systems

  • Receive payments via cash, card, or mobile money

  • Issue receipts, refunds, or change when required

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable checkout area

  • Assist with packing or bagging of items

  • Answer customer questions and provide excellent service

  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts

  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor

    • Qualifications and Skills:

  • HND certificate or equivalent

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is an advantage
