Job Description

A Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. The role involves interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and using various hand and power tools to complete projects in accordance with specifications and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry Work

• Construct and install wooden structures, frameworks, partitions, and fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and stairs.
• Repair or replace damaged or deteriorated woodwork including floors, walls, and trim.

Measurement and Cutting

• Measure and mark materials according to project plans and specifications.
• Cut and shape materials using hand tools, power saws, and other cutting equipment.

Assembly and Installation

• Assemble and fit components together to create finished structures or fixtures.
