Job Responsibilities
Procurement of consumables, raw materials and any other items required by the company Ensures adequate stock levels and timeous ordering Ensures stock levels are maintained in-line with minimum stock levels and respective sales forecasts to avoid stock depletion Sourcing and purchasing of buy-outs as per requisitions Identifies alternative suppliers to improve pricing, delivery lead times and BEE procurement targets Conducts reviews of existing and potential suppliers in accordance with procurement principles (cost, quality, lead time, BEE compliance) Liaises with internal stakeholders to determine buying requirements Liaises with other Company buyers to assess suppliers and discuss volume discounts Identify unused or obsolete stock and return to supplier if possible Ensures purchasing principles are followed (i.e.: competitive pricing, compliance, quality, availability and purchase order lead time) Manages and adheres to purchasing procedures that conform to Co...
