Job Description
**Position Summary**
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for creating and executing a business plan that identifies new sales opportunities for Account Executives while supporting Southland Energyβs strategic business goals. The BDM will capitalize on industry trends, develop key industry relationships, and closely coordinate with Acquisition Teams to achieve growth and sales goals.
**Position Details**
+ Develops strategic direction for market segment or vertical market, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction of the business and in support of achieving annual sales targets. These strategic initiatives must be synergistic with the strategic initiatives of the sales team.
+ Gathers market intelligence and outlines specific strategies necessary to drive growth and capitalize on business opportunities.
