  • Help ensure buildings across Lower Hutt are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose

  • Lead investigations and enforcement across earthquake-prone buildings, dangerous, affected and insanitary buildings, and BWoF

    Our Building Control team plays a vital role in creating confidence and certainty for the people who live, work, and use buildings across Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt.


    We’re seeking a Building Compliance Officer to provide a multi-disciplinary compliance and enforcement service under the Building Act and relevant bylaws. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical investigation work, problem-solving, and working with building owners and industry professionals to achieve safe and timely outcomes.
