The Clinical immunology department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS trust is looking to recruit a Biomedical Support Worker (AfC Band 2) to join our friendly busy team. We would welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals who are able to work independently but crucially as part of a team to ensure we deliver a comprehensive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, deliver, receive and assist in the processing of clinical diagnostic specimens for biological testing.
• Undertake routine clinical technical investigations, operating complex equipment following standard operating procedures under supervision.
• Enter and retrieve patient demographic details using the laboratory information system.
• Work as a member of the departmental team, communicating effectively with colleagues and other healthcare staff.
