Summary The position is located in the Service Line of the Engineering Dept under the direct supervision of the Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor at the Department of Veterans Affairs - Finger Lakes HCS, Bath, NY campus. The primary duties of the position are to be an Automotive Worker with secondary duties as a Motor Vehicle Operator. Responsibilities Cleans, removes, adjusts, and replaces defective automotive parts and components. Replaces sensors, water pumps, spark plugs, brake shoes, mufflers, gaskets, hoses. Operates, uses test equipment and tools such as wrenches, sockets, brake tools, pliers, screwdrivers etc. Services and checks air conditioning systems by purging/recharging systems. Operates several vehicles such as gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles, dump trucks, passenger shuttle and cargo vans which have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds to and up to 26,000 pounds.
